Fruit of the spirit!
In Sunday school we had recently studied the fruit of the spirit. In church we used different fruits to help the children understand and remember the differnt fruits. Fast forwarding; last Sunday after church my sister, Andrew and myself went to lunch at Barro's pizza. Andrew was having a tough time waiting for his pizza and he was getting antsy. I had reminded him to use his patience, 'you know the fruit of the spirit.' Andrew proceeded to ask what fruit patience was. Aunt Melissa told him that it was pineapple. Andrew's response, "Well, I don't like that fruit." When Melissa and I were finished laughing he then proceeded to tell us it was pineapple that he didn't like, not patience. Fast forwarding, when the pizza finally arrived Andrew again used his social graces by stating to the waitress, "About time!" We obviously do not take him out much!!!
long time
It's been a long time since I have been on here. Seems like the pendulum has swung and everyone is into blogging. I have heard it is loads of fun. I guess I will jump on the bandwagon. Here is my funny story for today: Last night my nearly two year old was put down to sleep in his crib. Nothing unordinary; same routine as every other night. This time however, he decided that he was going to figure out how to crawl out of the crib--he's half way there. He figured out how to crawl into a superman pose and then he was stuck--he couldn't figure out how to get all the way down. So he laid in bed for awhile..crying..cooing...silent..oh, he's aslpeep I thought! Then we hear him scream in his tiny little voice, 'mommy' 'mommy' I go into his room to see why he all of the sudden has started crying to find out that he had taken his diaper off and handed me both his diaper and his pants. After laughting my head right off I called for my husband to come and get a laugh too. We then got him redressed and back to bed. It was comical. We were very fortunate that the diaper was only wet...potty training may be coming sooner than we think!!
